Well, I thought the high watermark yesterday was high - we topped it today in positive Covid-19 cases, both statewide and in Utah County. Please make sure you are staying safe and taking appropriate precautions!
CORONAVIRUS STATS
Nationally, the CDC reports 6,613,331 cases with 196,277 fatalities.
Utah: 60,658 cases (up 911 from yesterday); 3,401 hospitalizations; 437 deaths (no change from yesterday)
Utah County: 14,245 cases (up 408 from yesterday); 553 hospitalizations; 53 deaths (no change from yesterday)

- For those wondering about harvesting their gardens this year, the Daily Herald has released an article that might help.
- Yesterday Nu Skin held its annual Force for Good event, the one day out of the year that the $2.5 billion company dedicates its workforce to projects in the surrounding communities. While the event takes place in all 50 countries where Nu Skin operates, this year, the company gave back to communities in Utah County by providing meals for families and bed mats for homeless individuals affected by the coronavirus pandemic as well as face shields, masks and school supplies for local children.
- Provo has launched a "Kindness Initiative", inviting residents to expand their definition of kindness beyond single acts and into a culture that helps the community connect better as friends, neighbors and even strangers. Part of these efforts include a new website and the development of a social media presence on Facebook and Instagram.

Today, Mayor Kaufusi had a busy day! This morning she had to be in three meetings at the same time:- Attended the Utah Lake Committee Board meeting
- Participated in the City Council Leadership meeting
- Met with individuals at BYU
- Held a meeting about the new City Center building
- Attended a meeting on the CARES Act
- Met with Public Works
- Met about businesses in Provo
- Participated in a meeting on the airport
- Held a meeting with the HR director and Administrative Services director
- Met with members of the City Council
FUN STUFF
Every now and again, we see one of those little videos that makes is cringe and laugh at the same time. I suspect if a bear did this to me in my backyard, I would have just had a heart attack and died on the spot.
