Nationally, the CDC reports 6,087,403 cases with 185,092 fatalities.
Utah: 53,326 cases (up 504 from yesterday); 3,153 hospitalizations; 414 deaths (up 4 from yesterday)
Utah County: 11,317 cases (up 149 from yesterday); 511 hospitalizations; 48 deaths (up 1 from yesterday)

- Salt Lake City will be moving from the orange level of restriction to the yellow level based on improved case counts and positivity rates.
- After an intense battle throughout training camp, Kalani Sitake has named Zach Wilson as the starting quarterback. His first game will be the start of the 2020 season when BYU plays Navy on September 7th.
- Many of us were shocked with death of actor Chadwick Boseman of Black Panther fame. His hometown in Anderson, South Carolina is planning a community-wide memorial for him.

- Met on airport terminal funding and the wastewater treatment plan
- Met with MAG on county transportation funding
- Participated in a meeting with the Utah County Council of Governments

Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend. Julie and I are extending it a few more days to head out to Eastern Utah to spend some time with kids and grandkids next week (leaving Tuesday so I don't miss the BYU-Navy game), so we will reconnect a week from Monday. Go Cougars!
