April 12, 2021 Update

Happy Monday!  We spent some good family time this weekend celebrating two granddaughters' birthdays - one turned 5 and one turned 3.  So obviously, lots of fun.  And in between, I was able to get a little yard work done - fixing sprinklers, setting up the greenhouse, and a few other miscellaneous projects.  

CORONAVIRUS STATS

Nationally, the CDC reports 31,015,033 cases with 559,172 fatalities.

Utah:  390,289 cases; 15,770 hospitalizations; 2,159 deaths

Utah County:  93,784 cases; 2,544 hospitalizations; 372 deaths

NEWS YOU CAN USE

• Today is National Licorice Day and National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day! Check out some great grilled cheese options in different places in Utah.
• A man is Salt Lake City threatened to shoot everyone in a clothing store when asked to leave because he wasn't wearing a mask. A good reminder that we should all be civil and courteous. 
• The City Council is holding a special budget meeting tomorrow.

• Participated in a Covid-19 coordinating phone call with Utah County
• Met with her executive team
• Held a (long) budget discussion meeting

FUN STUFF

So, a few months ago we highlighted a video about a woman telling her past self about the pandemic.  There is a newer and I think funnier video about the same woman in April 2021 telling her past self in January 2020 about the latest pandemic news (and other stuff from 2020).  In short, we would never have believed it.  And, excuse a couple of words … that many of us might use privately to describe the last year.
