It has been a fairly quiet day today for me. A couple of meetings with department directors and a lot of time to do some catching up. I try once or twice a month to keep some quiet time when I can regroup, get organized and think strategically. Today has been one of those days for me - and they don't usually come anywhere near often enough.
I hope you had a great weekend, and for the dads out there, a nice Father's Day. It was fun for me to talk to all of my kids, and spend some time last evening with my son, daughter-in-law and two grandkids. My kids also went together on a new e-book they loved (The Innocent), and an audiobook that my daughter thinks I need (Atomic Habits). So some pleasure reading, along with a solid self-improvement audio book, will keep me busy for a while.
And if you have about 8 minutes, you might want to listen to this very insightful piece from Boyd Matheson of the Deseret News about building inspired fatherhood and celebrating the dads who are trying hard to do it right.
