Occasionally, I have the opportunity to walk through the City Hall/Public Safety building construction and get a first hand look at how this new facility is coming together. Amazing progress is being made there and it is fun to see all the parts becoming a whole. For those employees who will call this new facility home, I am certain that you are going to really enjoy being there. It has a lot of space, room to grow and some excellent security features that strike the balance between safety against threats and transparency for the public we serve. We are just about a year away from moving in, and we will keep you informed as things get closer.
In the meantime, if you would like to take a group of employees through the building to size up your department's new digs, please have your director reach out to Scott Henderson or Dick Blackham.
