I love spring in Utah. Weather on days like today is about as close to ideal as I could imagine. It makes me want to head out to find a nice mountain trail or just grab the dog and take a walk in one of Provo’s neighborhoods!
Speaking of neighborhoods, we had a nice surprise in our driveway last evening when I got home. We have had our share of challenges of late - predominantly dealing with health issues with our aging parents. Julie especially has been working through issues of health care and hospice care for her father and trying to help navigate getting their home ready to put on the market. A cute family in our neighborhood left these little chalk messages of love and support on our driveway and sidewalk. This is one of the many reasons we love living in Provo.
Today, the city council met for their regular joint meeting with the Provo school district board. We have a really remarkable relationship with our school district. Both organizations share a strong commitment to the wellbeing of families and children, and we have worked together cooperatively on many projects and programs. I love these opportunities to meet on common interests and find ways to collaborate to benefit our community and our taxpayers.

TUESDAY TIP
How a daily nap helped one writer awaken her focus
Freelance writer Lydia Sweatt challenged herself to take a nap every day for a month and found that, after a few weeks, her focus and productivity had improved. "And if you do it right, you can produce meaningful work that eclipses anything created from a hamster wheel mentality," Sweatt writes.
FUN STUFF
Baseball season is in full swing. I love baseball, but I have a hard time watching it on TV. But this little video of some amazing catches made by the unheralded ball boys and ball girls in major league baseball would make it worth watching on TV. Take a look.
Hope you have a great day.
