April 21, 2021 Update

St. George is warm today, but pretty windy.  The conference continues to be excellent, and it has been good to listen to how other cities are handling issues like employee engagement, protests, housing affordability and new voting technologies.  The  more the times change, the more government needs to adapt.  

CORONAVIRUS STATS

Nationally, the CDC reports 31,541,447 cases with 564,813 fatalities.

Utah:  393,862 cases (up 590 from yesterday); 15,981 hospitalizations; 2,177 deaths (up 3 from yesterday)

Utah County: 94,511 cases (up 110 from yesterday); 2,583 hospitalizations;374 deaths (up 1 from yesterday)

So, early in my career, a really good friend introduced me to American Folk singers Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie.  Pete was the songwriter who penned the song made famous by Peter Paul and Mary, "If I Had a Hammer" which became famous in the mid 1960's.  This little song from Pete Seeger has always been one of my favorite folk songs. It is known as "Get Up and Go," and I can relate to it now more than I ever had. When you listen to the song, you will probably know why.  (PS - there is a banjo intro of about 50 second first, and then the song begins)

I don't really think my youth is all spent - just mostly!  Hope your day and evening are great!  Thanks for all you do for all of us.
